Highlights

  • New registration settings and interface cleanup
Another round of updates has been made to registration settings. In addition to spending some time cleaning up and clarifying the settings interface, we have added a new collection of settings to allow different prompting behavior when we detect that a user has arrived from a Google Ad. The mechanism we are using to detect this will work regardless of whether a customer is using our Google Ads integration tools; it’s keyed off the presence of a URL parameter that is present by default on all Google Ads accounts, so it should be broadly useful even outside customers using our own PPC offering. It is worth noting, however, that this URL parameter is controlled by a setting — known as “auto tagging” — which Google allows customers to disable. So, the most likely support issue related to this new setting will be users who have disabled it on their Google Ads account, thus preventing us from detecting users arriving from ads. We will endeavor to make help documents that clarify the need for this setting to be on, but it’s worth having our teams be informed about.
  • Updates to traffic reports
Over the last few releases, we’ve been updating our Google Analytics integration to start using Google’s new API version in advance of them deprecating the current version this summer. In this release we’ve updated our traffic reports interface to start displaying the data being collected via the new API version.
  • Many, many, many more keywords updates
The ongoing wave of MLSes changing data providers continues, which requires that we remap and rebuild our keyword search database. So, just another reminder to be on the lookout for previously mapped keyword terms that may have been missed in remapping.
